I'm so looking forward to this:
I've always loved Georgia O'Keefe, especially her amazing flower paintings. I did a really cool project with my 1st graders when I was teaching based on her flowers. We drew enlarged flowers, cropped up close, outlined all the shapes with thick lines of white glue and then painted them in with watercolors. I wish I had a picture of one of them; they turned out so beautiful. The glue outline resisted the watercolor paint and created a cool effect.
I feel inspired! Flowers, watercolors, me....it's a date!! :) What is inspiring you these days?

Hey, Jennifer! I didn't know you taught first grade! :D I, too, have always had a fondness for O-Keefe's work...and I'm inspired to try out the technique you described!
The movie looks like it's going to be a good one, too...can't wait to see it.
Have a great day!
Hi Jennifer, glad to have found your blog. It is lovely, as is your art!
Me again. :) I saw from Ellie's most wonderful blog that you said you were an art teacher. My daughter is a senior this year and is still trying to find what she wants to major in. She loves art, loves kids, has thought about teaching art. How was the experience for you?
